I started to notice these black spots showing up on my Nuclear Greens

The tank is 105 days old so fairly new. With the exception of Mag all my other params are in the correct range. I had no way of testing it until this past weekend. When tested it was at 950, I dosed Saturday night and brought it up to 1300. I had a little bit of a temp drop Friday night. I left the hood fans on and had the heaters unplugged. When I checked it in the morning the temp was at 75 deg about 4 deg cooler that its norm.

Here are 2 pics from my phone sorry about the quality. The camera is missing in action. I suspect my kids got their hands on it.

Any idea what can be causeing this?

Dang those pics are really bad. Ill post new ones tonight after I have another talk with everyone about using my camera and then tear the house apart looking for it. (hmmm, i wonder if it fell between to cushions on the couch)

All things considered, the polyps look great. I haven't seen any black spots appear on any of mine, so I have no idea what could be causing it.

I have seen brown spots happen on nucs when I changed lighting but never black.

Yes overall the polyps look great not all of them have the spots either.

and to be more clear they look like black spots under my 454 VHO's with the MH's on they look brown.

Found my camera, just wanted to put up a better pic. Its hard to get a clear shot when you have to shoot at a angle.

The polyp with the big spot is by far the worse and not the norm. The others have smaller spots. My buddy says it could be from new lighting.

I dont know what would cause that, but did you raise you Mag from 950 to 1300 with one dose? If so that could cause some problems. You should not raise any level more then 100ppm within a 24 hour period.

Have you dipped it? the only thing I could think of is either bacterial or some type of fish or inhabitant nipping at it.
