Whats in your overflow?

I'm not sure, but some kind of plastic mesh media, a huge colony of mixed reef bugs (came with the tank when I bought it used) and I suspect a few Aiptasia since they were in the DT and kept showing up in there until I add "Mr. Kleine" to the fish population. And normal funk that grows in low light, mine is under a opaque plastic lid, and then salt creep and water and perhaps stomatella's or somethings similar?

I just haven't open mine in like 6 month or so, couldn't belive I have refugium in there lol, here is another, picture. loads of bubble algae, chieto aiptasia, and water else i cant see, lol

If this was all I knew about your tank I could say you have a well established biodiversity present in your system. It should be able to keep many corals and fishes alive, but for Pete's sake clean out your overflow before you post another picture. It looks out of control and probably could trigger some folks with PTSD like symptoms if they like the "Clean look."

I didn't take a picture of mine because the lights are off and I don't want people to know how unsightly my overflow is. I do wonder if my missing clown fish is trapped inside of it?

You might want to brush your "teeth" to prevent flow blockage and lower the water level in the DT? My reef tanks level will sometimes drop 1/4" when I brush mine and remove the unsightly plaque buildup.
