hi everyone

Setting up a sump for a 6x2x2 DS, the sump is 5ft and holds about 300l.
Equipment to go in is filter socks, bio reactor, protein skimmer, heater, GAC, rowaphos, PhosGuard and return pump.

What else should I include? Bio media, live rock, or is it worth trying a refugium/algae scrubber as they seem popular?

What works for you?

Cheers

I have trouble growing caulerpa in my current setup, it slow growing and keeps loosing colour going translucent. Not sure why?
If I go the fuge Chaeto way should it be lite 24/7?

no it grows best with a rest period I would say no more than 12 hours of light per day

Thanks guys.

Will def include a cheato refug in the sump with a reverse photo period, I have noticed a ph drop in the mornings, it did improve by increasing aeration at night but not completely stable so adding one should help soak up excess nutrients and stabilise ph. Great idea thanks!
