Whats is this??

Just pulled this guy out of my tank, there is more and they have these long red strings that come from the sand? Should i be worried? How do i get ride of them? Im sure they came from a coral frag. Im thinking spaghetti worms, from what i have found online just not sure. Do they help or hurt the tank?

Says friendly - provided you don't accumulate too many of them or have a mass die-off.
