Hello,

I'm wondering what is your night time flow guys, do you use the same flow power as you've during the day or you think at night you should reduce the flow rate, what is your opinion please?

Thank you.

Right now my night and day flow is the same, I have always wondered if I should lower the flow at lights out though.
So far I have seen no ill effects in my reef and my corals seem happy with the flow staying constant. (Tank has been running this way for over a year)

This is what I'm running now in my 20g nano:

looks good, if your stuff is happy with this schedule then keep doing it. What works for me may not work for you and vice versa :)

Same for me but I always wonder if I should ramp it down!

Yes, I think it's make sense to do it like this:

Same power but Lagoon mode for 8 hours and then back to Reef Crest. I think I did it wrong before, I lowered the power and changed the mode to Lagoon on the night. But Lagoon mode is already slower by default no need to run it even lower power.

Turbulent crossflow is always changing directions so my pumps are 24-7 same speed

I'm thinking maybe change the side of my PM10 and attach it on the left side of the tank, opposite side of the return outlet to make it crossflow as well @twilliard hmm ....

The best way I tell my turbulence is when I feed my morning flake (keeps po4 up)
This also shows me when pump cleaning is needed.

Yes this will cause an indirect center turbulence that is always shifting

Sorry I can't understand it, must be my Eng. could you explain what do you mean? :) How do you understand you need to clean your pump, by checking po4 ?

My flow changes to more of a direct, linear flow and my flake food shows the direction.
I have a ton of time for observation :-)

At this moment I've a very circular flow:

< ---- < ---- < ---- < ---- < ----
.
.
.
.
---- > ---- > ---- > ---- > ---- >

I think a random crossflow is much more close to natural pattern.
