Having some issues with Coral not opening extending trying to get my test kits in order I have phosphate and salinity nitrate on the way about to order a alkalinity checker from Hannah and probably a Milwaukee digital refractometer... Do I really need calcium and magnesium just yet I have a zoas frag and a hammer frag

I'd recommend Calcium now. Get a Salifert Ca+ kit. It's only $15 on Amazon.

What salt mix are you using? With only two soft frags regular water changes should be enough to replenish whatever is used.
Getting a Calcium test kid as said above is a good idea either way though.

Hi there, If your main issue is that the zoas aren't opening I guess I would ask a few more questions first.
How long have you had them in the tank?
What kind of light do you have/use and how are you using it? (time on whites/blues and the intensity)
Where are the corals at in the tank? High up or on the sand bed?
What are your Nitrates, phosphates, etc tests showing?
I only ask all this because mine get unhappy when they don't get enough light and when the water is too clean. Its good to think about the CA kit but I don't think for what you have in the tank and what your using for salt that CA is the issue.
Just my 2 cents.
