What's my bta telling me?

Picked him up almost about 45 days ago. He took foot the day after I put him in and hasn't moved since picked right in a cool cave spot to so im happy lol.
This was him when I first got him. Looked no different then when he was at my lfs.

And this is him now

As you can see quite some difference. Now, I've looked online and he doesn't quite look like any of the other bta I have seen. By that I mean the shape of his bubbles. I spot feed him 2-3 times a week. All of my parameters are ideal with the exception of my p.h. remaining around 7.8-8

What do you guys think?

There has been a lot of speculation and guessing as to what makes BTAs bubble some think its flow, others phosphates, others lighting....etc. Basically that means nobody knows. If it's been attached for 45 days and looks healthy and is growing, I would assume the only thing it is tell you is that "it's happy".

Hey, sure that isn't a condylactis anemone? In the first pic, doesnt really look like on but the second one does to me (Im no expert by any means). If it isn't, it looks extremely bleached to me. You dont need to spot feed them. If your lights are strong enough, thats all it needs. And if you broadcast feed frozen, it'll get some that way. Anyways, I have 2 RBTA (started with 1, split into 3 and I sold a small one) and have had it for about a year and a half. They dont look anything like that, they are very rose colored. Ive noticed that mine like slow flow, like barely enough so that their tenticals sway. They bubble up like crazy. I put a gyre in and all 3 moved. The little one went into the overflow (oops), one is on the move again after staying in a nice spot for about 2 months (killed a 20+ head green trumpet coral ;Shifty ) but it keeps moving to lowest flow spots. The other parked behind a very large Monti Cap which (as I dont understand) is 2 inches from the gyre (granted I run it at 10%) and it gets blown around like crazy and wont really bubble up. Its killing a big portion of the monti so I needs to get rid of it. But as Amoo says, it really is speculation.

But yeah, most anemones Ive seen like that are either condylactis anemones or severely bleached out BTAs. Good luck!

It is a bleached bta. It looks healthy otherwise.

Condys will also color up with good lighting to tan/brown or something other than white.

Hey jc thank you for the info. Here he is today. Upgraded my lights yesterday. Looks light a great response so far guys check it out

Better bulb shape imo and color looks more appropriate for him. It's supposed to be a green bubble tip

Here's the whole tank so you guys can have some perspective of his placement. Tank is only 4 months but I'd say everything is happy

Also, how's your monti cap? You afraid of it growing closer and getting stung to death?
