I got this candy cane in July I believe. it's never had feeding tentacles that I've seen. There are at least 3 filter feeders among the heads. The lower head has flattened out, like it's spreading or wrapping around. Is it supposed to do this. Right now it's on the bottom. I had it higher but it seemed to pale out. I put it down a bit and it got knocked down by a snail I'm betting.

Just want to know if it is okay.

I only see the feeding tentacles on mine at night when the lights go out. Can you try removing those filter feeders? The candycane is probably tying to grow around them.

No on removing. They are and have been in those places, surrounded completely. Each head had surrounded a filter feeder. The bottom one that is now flat was a round head like the other two. Not even at night have I seen feeders

no3 around 20
po4 runs lately between .15 & .2 It was bottoming out and I had to dose. Now it will climb to 2 ish. Working to get it as close to .1 as I can with phos guard.

Using matrix and de-nitrate and getting nitrates to stay no higher than 20. Always have had high nitrates. No pox did nothing. Vibrant did not take them down. I do feed heavy, esp. with a huge head of sun corals. All corals but that one, and another, are doing exceptionally well. Tank pic pretty much up to date except a couple new corals and moving the symphillia back to sand bed.
