Just got a new toadstool today, and i am not sure whats that behavior? Its leaning forward. I am not sure why. It literally moved its way to the front.

The duncan is not touching it. and it's medium flow area. I just got it few hours ago,
its coral and theres lots of variabilities.
All you can really do is ensure your husbandry is not lacking and your parameters stay as stable as possible.

The most common cause of any change is the variabilities between the tank it came from and yours.

It could take months for a coral to fully acclamatize itself.

I second saltyreef. The sellers parameters could be significantly different to your parameters, a big change in environment like that can make the coral react in a negative way, lighting & flow is a factor too. Best thing to do is run parameter numbers & see if any parameters are lacking that might need a boost. The previous owner might had kept it in lower par & lower flow, maybe the complete opposite. It’s always good to ask lots of questions on the coral & its environment especially flow & lightning. A massive change in PO4s or Alk PH can definitely stress a coral. Best advice is to run numbers, correct anything that might be off & keep things stable. Good luck

Just let it sit for a few days to a week and if it still seems angry, move it around somewhere else. I had to move a big (8" across) one around my tank for a couple of weeks before it started to look even slightly happy, and now that I quit messing with it, it is bigger and happier every day.

What is your PO4 and NO3? If those are good, then it's just stressed, because "I just got it a few hours ago". Consider corals somewhat autistic. They cannot deal with a change as quickly. Once a while they will also do this when they're shedding, which is normal and very much common. Will take about 2-3 days sometimes and then they'll grow and be even more beautiful.

This is what Toadstools do.

New tank? Sulk.
Touched? Sulk.
Growing? Sulk and then slime.

I wouldn't be concerned. You should start worrying when it starts to feel soft and mushy. Mine didn't extend it's polyps for 2.5 weeks when I got it.
