Get your ammonia level to .2 or .4 then add the nitrifying bacteria. Check ammonia and nitrate level a few days later. If ammonia is 0 repeat the process and see if ammonia goes to 0 within 24 hours and you have measurable nitrates production then you know tank is cycling. Typically a 2 week process.

Sorry, I meant 110 drops of ammonia, I got my levels up to 2 ppm, adding all my bacteria and now amonia is at 1 and 0 nitrites, 5 nitrates. The lfs told me to add more ammonia in 2 days
 
Nitrites are irrelevant in reef aquaria. Focus on 0 ammonia and good nitrates numbers.
Yep. That's changed from years ago (15 in my case). If you've been told that measuring nitrites is recommended, it's no longer thought important.
