I started with the aquaforest products. I used the reef salt and used the bio s for the 14 days as directed. I tested levels. No ammonia but my nitrite is high. Didn't bother to check nitrates since I still have nitrite. Do I now start the pro bio s and np pro or do I wait for the tank to completely cycle?

I think this is time to start dosing Pro BioS.

It is likely ok to begin use of Pro Bio S and NP Pro, but do so at 1/2 dosage and monitor with tests and observance. Please indicate the system specs, pics are also welcome :)

I've started dosing both pro bio s and np pro at half dosage. Haven't noticed a decrease in nitrates at all. My tank has developed some brown spots on the sandbed and on my rocks though. What's up with that?

You might go through a cycle again, it will ease off in a few days.
Picture will help to determine for what we talking here.
Keep testing Ammonia and Nitrite.
If for a few days both are 0.0 you can ghost feed some ammonia in see how far or how long it takes to 0.0 it out.

Brown dusting is normal, and harmless to the tank mates, this happens as your system is processing laden nutrients in the rock and sand. Make sure to have plenty of CUC and keep doses 1/2 for now. This happens as your system is converting to a Probiotic based system. Cheers
