This coral is usually voluptuous, seems a little retracted today. I noticed this white thing on the side, anyone have a clue what this could be?

mucus? snail? Watch it to see if it moves. Maybe its an infection? I dont know so im gonna call out the people who do lol.

Also help on a game plan whatever it is this piece really gives the tank personality. I love it. And like I said usually voluptuous.

keep it, but watch it for a while... if it moves get rid of it, that means its an animal and is probably feeding off the coral

Appears to be sponge. If it moves, could be what is actual name- sea bunny slug
With either, if you can, remove coral into a small container with tank water and scrape or brush off and return to tank
