this little hairlike stuff on the stalk of my zoa colony. Any ideas what it is? I just noticed it within last 3-4 days

Based on your post a few possibilities are:

Algae, could be green hair algae or byropsis.
Could be hydroids.
 
Yep that's it. Hydroids. Thanks for the help. Will peroxide kill them?
 
Depending on the type of hydroids. The white ones usually go away after a few water changes and if u dont have too much nutrients. The brown ones or colonial hydroids are worst then aiptasia and spread quick from photosynthesis and nutrients--short of boiling them in water, they dont die.
