A yellow tang but doesnt go near my frags on the rack. Something is up with him since he hides a lot lately. The algea over the polpys when closed looks almost like a net covering them.It looks a bit more like ordinary hairy algae to me. Do you have any good algae eaters in the tank?
I do have a bunch if those dang things that are all over my LR. What are the strings though? I thought they just put out a web to catch food which i see all the time.vertmid snail possible.
I blow it off and comes back in hours. The string thing doesnt blow off.I was going off your description of a web. It could be algea.
This is when i come home and haven't blown it off. I was using vibrant to try and rid my gha I've had for 8 months. Not a vermetrid snail. Its just algae. I had it. I got some hermits and they cleaned off the zoas in an hour.
Pretty sure I started this by using chemiclean. What have you been trying to get rid of it?looks like dinos with hair algae..lucky you..im fighting the same now
Get a hermit, place it by the frag, let it do its thing and feel free to keep it or give it back to the store. This is when i come home and haven't blown it off. I was using vibrant to try and rid my gha I've had for 8 months.
