I'm starting to get fired back up again about my tank since I'm really winning the Dino battle now and my corals look sooooo good for the first time in a LONG time! So yesterday I spent several hours cleaning stuff, etc. This evening I'll probably clean up the tank room some, maybe a sump cleaning and some wire management. Feels good to care again! HA!

So what do you have planned for the first day of the reefing week?

I'm going to spend my day patiently waiting for pictures of a large system that is currently winning the battle against Dinoflagellates. I may even spend part of the day hoping for details on exactly what the successful treatment was.

Glad to hear your getting back on top @revhtree .Me , I cleaned my skimmer , changed out my gfo , then sat back and just stared at my tank for a couple of hrs , love sunny Monday’s !!

Hey Rev, just remember this forum is just like facebook in the fact you , for the most part, only hear about the good things, tanks. There are plenty of us out here who are having our own batch of problems too. You are never alone, keep working at it and you will win. I'm going home today to see if the last few bits of hair algae are finally dead. I've battled Bryopsis that led to a maroon carpet of Cyano that covered everything, to hair algae. I'm so close I can see the finish line finally!

They do. I had never smelled that particular musk smell from a turtle before, and it really is gross. It's hard to describe. Luckily though it's not an all the time thing that stinks up the house. The only time I have really noticed it was when he was being kept in a tupperware while I was cleaning the tank.

Glad to hear you are turning the corner @revhtree. Went through a 3 year battle with dinos myself before getting the upper hand, so I understand the feeling.
Went on a livestock shopping spree this weekend so for today; I will be setting up another 20l in preparation for the first transfer of the new fish (I use tank tranfer for treating all new fish). Also will be doing a water change in the coral qt tank.

Daughter and I are laying on the couch sick today watching the new starfish and snails we got yesterday. Must have gotten something yesterday while her and I were out shopping. The oldest stayed home while we were gone and she is fine and dandy.

Hope to be able to get doors on tank stand because the refugium light lights up the entire house.

did most of my maintenance yesterday but i do have a snail traveling around looking like one of the cast of trolls with gha 2" long growing on him. Maybe I'll pull him and give him a scrubbing or just let him be, my daughter gets a kick out of him lol

My bedroom nano is on day 2 of a three day blackout to try and get rid of white stringy hair algae. So nothing there.
My main display just monitoring and checking parameters. Pull some light acclimating corals on my magnetic frag rack up an inch.
Then watch Babylon Berlin on Netflix.
