What is itI have something better.
This will invite many opinions based on availability and user satisfaction but industry popularity and reliability : Hanna and salifert brandsWhats the best ammonia test kit out there? To test my sw tank for specific purpose?
My display tank. And hanna ammonia was recalledwas this a display reef or qt setup/curious to know.
What about left over food? In the sand? In the overflow box? In the sump? That wont cause ammonia spikes?Seneye then, don't get a non digital kit if you're determined to have one
I recommend not having one though, you'll benefit far better with predictive control. Saves money too, doesn't fail ever. I'm 21 years reefing with never using ammonia testing start to current tank
There's only one cause for your ammonia being out of control: dead fish left to rot. Ammonia can't rise before your fish kill in a display, it rises only after. Leave no dead fish to rot and your tank will never lose ammonia control.
Because i have like food in the back of overflow i cant reach was worried about ammonia spike thereNo. When a kid dumps food in the tank in bulk you just remove the food, the testing doesn't help. Regular feeding can't spike ammonia
Im confused english is not my first language clean my tank before it kills my fish? Whats that means? I thought that wont cause overspike my ammoniaSince no form of ammonia sneak attack happens, we don't need to test for it
The only way ammonia testing helps you is if you buy a $200 seneye, since you mentioned hanna is recalled, then purposefully stack more food back there to see how far you can drive it.
Your only need is to clean that which you know needs it. Get back there creatively and fix it, make a curved siphon hose if needed, mcguyver that stuff.
