What are you using to run GFO and what pump. Having issues with clogging at all? I would like to avoid that if possible.

I can't say what the BEST is, but I use the BRS dual reactor. I run GFO in one side and Carbon in the other. It uses a maxijet 1200 and has been running flawlessly for 2+ years now. I change the media about once every 3-4 weeks.

I use the BRS dual reactor running carbon and GFO. The pump is maxijet 1200. I plan on getting separate reactors down the road for each.. They both need different flow rates so I would suggest getting the single reactor. But I have not had any issues with the the BRS reactor.

I agree with you on them needing different amounts of flow. What I have started doing is buying the cheap carbon and filling that chamber to the max and I don't have any issues with it tumbling and producing dust anymore. The ROX is just too expensive to do that with!!!!

does it ever clog, i have read reviews where it seems to clog afte 3-4 days... maybe they are using too much media??

+1 BRS DUAL PISTOLS. i run a rio on mine and works perfectly. 3 weeks so far no clogging.

Personally I'd go with one of the Avast reactors. They're a sponsor and the quality can't be beat.

I have the single BRS reactors for the carbon and the GFO. I run them off my return pump. I like the single reactors so I can adjust the flow accordinly.

I also run the BRS dual reactors. I have them hard plumbed before my uv sterilizer, one full of carbon the the next one with gfo. They're super easy to clean/change and very inexpensive. I've used different brands of reactors, I hate thumbscrews!

I have one of the Avast style reactors and the quality is great!! But I still use the BRS single reactor due to ease of use, adding and removing the media in the Avast is a pain compared to the BRS reactor with it's internal media chamber. Just my opinion, I have talked to others that prefer the Avast style.
