Trying to figure out what people use to control there effluent drip out of there calcium reactors. The valve I have been using just does not seem very accurate and was hoping someone could give me the perfect solution. I tried finding a metronome for my iPhone, but just couldn't find one that went faster than 208 which my effluent drips faster than that. There has to be a more exact way of doing this, other then just eyeing my drips. Thanks

You could try timing how long it takes to fill a test kit test tube to a specific graduation and calculate flow rate from there...

To control it the best way is to hold it in your hand and apply pressure with your thumb until you get the exact flow rate you want, then never let go. Just kidding, I think they make gate valves suitable for your application.

I have a little ball valve on it now. A small gate valve with a turn handle would be really slick, but man that would have to be one tiny gate valve. I'll just keep holding it like you said, and hopefully someone will come through soon. It's gonna be uncomfortable laying on the tile floor tonight. Lol
