My biggest in person viewing was Eric's (SalsaKing) 700 gallon display tank.

I wanna go see the 17000 gallon reefzilla that thing is awesome. The craziest part is how much it cost him almost nothing since he did alot of it himself. Im pretty sure he said it cost him 100k for everything before he filled it.

personal friend of mine has a 600g display in his office as part of his much larger system throughout the house. he owns a restaurant in town which also has a 1200g display/2000g system which i had the pleasure of helping maintain for a couple of years when it was first built.

I've been there too. This tank is incredible to just stand in front of and see how big some of the fish offered in the home can get. Equally exciting is the attention to detail and building skills Bill has. He built every piece of equipment he has on the system, even designing and implementing the computer system that runs it all. I don't know that this will ever be topped on my list, well unless he goes bigger like he has been planning for a few years now.

Largest and most impressive tank I've seen in person is "Energy's" 1700-gallon reef in Minnesota. He generously held a few meetings for TCMAS when I lived there and it was hard to leave!

I know I will get flamed for this [for necroing this old thread], but honestly this is one of the best aquariums I've ever seen in the reef hobby.

Everytime I see it, I'm still amazed at both the size, balance and beauty. ChingChai got it ALL right with this setup. A true benchmark!
