What's the most nitrates you've ever had?

I've never had nitrates above 1 ever haha
I'm currently over 200 trying to get back into control and turn my fish only into an easy going reef. Theres some test polyps in there now seemingly doing just fine. Po4 last test was 3.34 ppm! I've run the tank for 2+ years with no real nutrient export method at all, just some activated carbon here and there. I presume there will be a ton of leaching of nutrients from the rocks. Even after adding a heavy duty skimmer a few weeks ago, numbers have not come down at all despite emptying many cups of black goop. Got some work ahead. 
Na, we could clear that tank up in 2 weeks. Umm, as long as you don't have anything in there. 
Or else they'd get a little ticked off at losing all the phosphates in one day.

The highest that I ever had was .2. Didn't try to do that on purpose. Just been the way it's been

Expand... There's only a few fish snails crabs and test polyps right now. I know I could drop the po4 with LC easy enough but the no3 takes time even if I started carbon dosing

Here's the most nitrate I've ever seen:
Dosing vodka as follows.
1mls first 3 days. Go to 5mls for the next 4days. Go to 10mls on day 8, go to 15mls on day 15, go to 20mls on day 20, go to 25mls on day 25. Thats the fastest way to knock down Nitrates via dosing. Split the dosing up once you get to 10 mls, dose 5mls in the am and 5mls in the pm and so on. Once you see the nitrates start to come down, that dose is your daily maintenance dose until they some down to where you want them, then cut the dose in half. You will be testing for nitrates every 5 days.

Per what volume of water? There's about 180g in this system
It doesn't matter. At 180g your daily dose when its all said and done will be around 15-20mls. So you may have to get up to 40mls before your Nitrates start to fall.
