Whats this brown stuff in my sandbed

Hey guys,

i got this brown stuff growing in my sandbed. Anybody know what it is? Any idea if i can just leave it? Or do i need to turkey base it out of there?

sandbed is about 2 inches. I have live stock in there so if i turkey base it out, wil it mess with them?

Excess nutrients in your sand. Sand is basically a giant litter box. I would NOT just stir it up or blow it around, when you do your water changes do some sucking of the sand bed to remove it from the tank rather than releasing it into the water.
