That's what I see too. The LFS maybe named their combination rocks Pandora's box or something like that.

how would you go about replicating that if it is in fact the case?

Replicate the combination of polyp types? You can glue a few types of polyps to one rock and let them grow. Or you cut up a rock that already has a bunch of polyps on it. There are a lot of ways.

The long skirt on those polyps generally means they were in a high flow area.

Makes me want my money back... they made it seem like it was something crazy rare...

Oh geez. I'm sorry to hear that. It is a nice sized frag and the polyps look to have decent colors. Sounds like you should find a new store though. Did you pay a lot for it?

$75...wayyyy too much for "long neck" zoa with those colors.... IMHO

Crud. I'd say you overpaid unfortunately. Depending on the store though, you'd pay that for the polyp count alone. Ive never heard someone sell as "long neck" before. Some polyps are taller than others normally. They will also reach when they need more light. Reaching is fairly obvious as the "neck" looks thin in the middle like it is stretching as far as it can for light.

Might try to return it if it will just annoy you when you look at it. Otherwise chalk it up to experience and find a new store.

Never heard of pandoric box. Maybe someone else has. The picture is hard to tell but they remind me a bit of watermelon zoas.

They can call it whatever they want and this is a common practice from vendors. I wouldn't say you got ripped off because you have at least 3 different types of polyps there. $25 each isn't bad

The tall ones could be gobstopper, the little ones with the green skirt, dark ring and yellow mouth are HOT! and I think I see a single polyp of dragon eye.
