I purchased a scoly from a guy without seeing it in the tank. Will never happen again. Guy claimed his parents wouldn’t let me in so he brought it to a cvs. Got home noticed it was a little brown. This just got worse and worse over the next few weeks. I’ve been feeding it reef roids. Today I gave it some mysis shrimp. It hate about half of it. I decided to dip the coral to see if any bugs are killing it and I found a lot of stuff come out. I believe 2 small bristle worms are in the video but that’s not what I’m concerned about. There’s little small bugs swimming around in the bucket. In the video you can see what I’m talking about.

Here’s what’s going on with the scoly

I just dipped 3 more frags and they seemed to have the same thing coming out. Not sure if it’s acro eating flatworm or something else

Alright I’ve come to a conclusion that they are copepods. Can anyone confirm? They seem to be on everything I have from soft to sps.

They certainly do have the characteristics of pods. Hard to tell. Is that a hammer coral I see in the far righthand side of your picture. Could it be getting stung?

It is a hammer. I moved it over there recently because I thought maybe the placement was the reason why it’s like that. I haven’t seen any sweepers from the hammer
