What's this Green Stuff?

Oh that star is one of the bad asterinas I do believe. Yank it! @Lionfish Lair?
I have 4 to 6 different stars. Including the white w r b spots that have been positively ID'd as killers. Lots of food in my tank though.
An aside I am about to Shop vac a ton. Out competing my favorite snails i believe.

I don't actually think one can ID a "bad" one from a "good" one.

I don't particularly care for them because they eat coralline.

I don't like the cut of his jib. :) It may just be anecdotal, but it seems people claim the white ones are safe and the brown and blue ones are not. Maybe that isn't true but I would not risk it. Not to mention asterinas multiply like crazy.

Those tunicates are pretty cool!

I probably shouldn't have gone for that sump either, but it was the one I was able to find at the time. My new build will have difficulty accommodating one in the sump (I'll still probably try to sneak _something_ in there . . . ) so I'm going to at least try to hang the HOB 'fuge on the side of the sump. I'm sure the dragonets will appreciate the effort!

Also are these amphipods?

How do I tell if I have copepods? Will I be able to see them?

After your lights have been off for awhile, shine a flashlight against your glass. You are looking for little white dots on the glass.

Looks like a ball anemone to me, but I could be wrong! Definitely looks like an amphipod in the second one. They like to hitchhike in on things like chaeto. I really like that refugium you have!

Yeah I like it! It's pretty small but it serves its function! It may be a ball anemone, it's super small and really hard to see!

If it's super small then it is probably a ball anemone. They don't tend to get very big at all. Some people remove them, but I've had them in my nano for a while and they've never bothered anything.
