I transferred my old tank to the new one today and I was removing old sand I came across this thing. Looks sorta like an earthworm. It extracts and retracts a thinner part of its body from the fat middle part.

What is this? I made a DSB in my new tank's refugium. Should I throw it in there?

Peanut worm. Sand sifter. I don’t believe they are harmful at all, but I’d wait to see what others would say.
Thanks, I think you're right. Looked them up again and that's what it looked like. Weird, because I got wayyyyyy different results when I searchen on my phone earlier.

It lives in the sump now.
