What's this on my blasto?

Anyone have any clue what this is growing in/around my blasto? Once the lights come on during the day the blasto seems to "push" it out of the way, but in the morning, the white'ish growth is pretty pronounced.

early morning, then slightly later as the lights are ramping up and things are opening up for the day.

If you poke it and it moves/closes it's a sea squirt.

If you poke it and it doesn't do anything, it's a sponge.

Poked it and it didn't move. Was able to easily break off a couple pieces, so I'm guessing its a sponge. @Shon - any danger in carefully cutting away some of it so the blasto can grow in peace? I have ROX carbon running 24/7 in a reactor if that makes a difference.

Trimming the sponge shouldn't be an issue. It might regrow there or somewhere else if a fragment gets loose.
