Hey im still new to all this so I get freaked out if I see anything slightly weird. But today I've noticed these white things on the side and next to the euphyllia. Does anyone know what that is

Pineapple sponges I see and coral doesn't look to good
Some other common hitch hikers here also

It’s a pineapple sponge, totally innocent… knock it off if you want.

I agree pineapple sponge which is a harmless filter feeder.

However I will say that euphyllia does have a quite a bit of tissue recession. Usually the flesh will extend about an inch or so down the skeleton.

How are you nitrate and phosphate levels?

It gets like that an hour or so before lights out, during the day its much bigger and seems healthy enough, should i be worried?

Nitrate is at 0.34 and phos is at 0.02

See amount off flesh on this coral then look yours, its not just the length of tentacles during day, your pic is in very blue light so maybe not as bad as seems but looks like can see the white skeloton at top where flesh completely receded.
All 3 off my torches did this before dying.
Not to say yours will die and can't be saved but just what happenned to mine.
As I just said ice had 3 torches and 3 deaths so wouldn't be right for me to g8ve you advice on best way to look after your coral to aid it in best way possible as would only be what ice read anyway which I did try but nope still all died,I read alot still wild caught and just don't take well to captivity taking from days - weeks - few months to slowly die

If that's .34 ppm nitrate that is quite low. Euphyllia need some in the water column. I see the best health and color around 5 to 8ppm. With phosphates you want to try to be about .03 so that's a touch low as well.
