What's this on my foxface?

Just came home from a holiday of 6 days and my foxface seems to have some lacerations on it's side. Anything to worry about?
All other fish do look fine, everyone eating well. No scratching or something suspicious.

Do you have any tangs in your tank?
The cuts should heal by themselves. But watch for white filmy area, redness, or necrosis.

No tangs yet, only small clownfish and a goby.

OK, so the cuts are probably from where it sleeps at night. The current in the tank is probably pushing it around as it tries to sleep and rubbing against a sharp rock or piece of equipment.

Sounds valid as the fish always sleeps in his cave against a rock. Should i lower the flow at night?

An update on the foxface: no change in behaviour, eats like a pig but some dark dots appeared...

Those spots are either a sting by a coral or anemone, otherwise a type of worm on the fish. Often, a freshwater dip Will help

I don't have anemones but hammercorals, a sinularia, acans.
Should I prep QT for the fish just in case?
I'll get a fishtrap asap and research on the freshwaterdip.

It should fall off. Freshwater dip effective method

Is the FW dip considered as a cure or only to give some relief to the fish? Should I put him in QT after the dip?
