Looks to be aptasia best course of action is to nuke the tank and start over. Ok jk but since its on a frag plug just remove the frag from the plug and toss the plug in a fire somewhere.

I believe they darken as they grow larger, I never let them get that big if I can help it.

I wouldn't put that frag plug anywhere near my dt especially as easily as u can remove the coral from the plug just seems like a no brainer.

Popped the frag plug off did extra dips and got the aptasia off as well as the bubble algae. I've got them floating still to see if anything else pops up.

^Agreed. Also, how did you go about removing it? Asking because they can grow back from even the tiniest bit of flesh left.
