Pineapple sponge harmless and I think they are cute but they often appear in overfed/high nutrient tanks!

Gotcha, thanks! And yes... I am guilty of overfeeding. Never can figure out the right amount...

You should invest in a feeding ring! Honestly a small pinch depending on what you feed only what they consume in a few minutes and I feed every other day or so.
