Whats this on my snail?

I haven't seen this before but i just fed my tank and turned the pump back on. It kicked up all the settled food and i saw this guy pop up amd disappear just like a feather duster. Im curious if thats what it is or if it's something else as i haven't seen one on a snail before...

Im thinking feather duster but i have never seen one be on a snail so thats the only reason im doubtful.

Lol I’ve seen some crazy things to here’s a pic of a pineapple sponge on one of my sand sifting stars...

Looks like a hydroid. Take snail out and scrape it off shell in a small container of tank water and return snail to the tank
