I have a slime growing in my overflow cover. What can this be? And what should I do if anything?

Looks like diatoms it's a type of algea does not harm anything but it is a big indicator that you either have to many Fish or are overfeeding and not doing enough water change in my experience it grows off the excess nutrients and if the water gets dirtier it blooms out like crazy and looks miserable but won't hurt anything and generally gets rid of itself after a few weeks

I definitely don't have to many fish could be over feeding. Thanks

Are you carbon dosing? Or using a Lanthanum liquid?
