It's only been in my tank for a few days. Yesterday it looked fine, this morning after it retracted over night from lights out I see this white spot.

Is it just from acclimating?

I think that's normal. I've had Trachyphyllia and Wellsophyllia do that from time to time. Just keep an eye on it and don't panic.
I panic every time i see anything. I thought it was strange when everything I own is growing.

No need to worry. Although it's difficult to tell from the photo, I think all you are seeing is the underside of the flesh. The underside is considerably whiter, and it's possible that currents in the tank are lifting that edge up a bit when the coral isn't fully inflated.

It does not appear to be tissue necrosis and recession.

Just a thought , try looking if there's a little hole there ......gall crab
It might close up when the coral puffs up for the day
Not saying you have one but something to think about
They love living in brains trachy and meat corals

It closed up, there "should" be no hitchhiker crabs but I've been surprised several times.
