Hi guys, sorry the pic is a little grainy but its the best I could get, the lights are going down on my tank and as the corals are closing up I noticed this feather looking thing coming out of what looks like a white tube, any ideas my first thought was Aiptasia but not 100%

+1 for a feather duster. Any chance you could get a better picture? Maybe also in white-light? If it is feather duster (i’m 99% sure) it won’t be harmful to your tank, and will filter feed. They do multiply rather quickly IME.

While often referred to as a feather duster, its a tube worm which uses its fan to capture food favoring brine shrimp unlike a Hawaiian feather duster which is a filter feeder favoring plankton like food
