Hey guys- my tank is doing really well and bringing me much joy.

I have a great, green chalice coral and noticed something strange on it. Been in tank for five days, I floated, drip acclimated, dipped it (got lots of little stuff off of it!) - it seems to be adjusting nicely. But there's this small part that has a strange hand-like extension from a pocket in the coral skin...doesn't really look like the feeding tentacles I've seen from chalice corals, and wondering if you all can help me figure it out. I'm curious. Pics below has it circled, as well as illustrated so you can see what I see in person (still trying to get good pics)

Any ideas?

Thats a type of barnacle i do believe. Ive seen them elsewhere on this site. I also have one living in an unknown frag i rescued from a lfs. Mine doesnt seem to be a problem.
