Hey all, this algae has been growing in my tank for a few weeks now. I tried adding GFO about 10 days ago to see if that would help. The top rocks are where I took a toothbrush and scrubbed some of it off (it comes off easily in a dust cloud). Any ideas what it could be? The tank is about 4.5 months old

It might be the start of some type of green algae. A close up of the first picture area top right where the rock forms a "V" would help. It looks like it has a fern like growth.

Yea, it's like a puff that comes out of a single point. Someone said maybe bryopsis? Any idea what the brown layer is too?

Just a part of the new tank uglies as it matures it will go through many phases of ugly...keep parameters stable and stay on track with water changes and itll work itself out.

I have a little bit of the same looking stuff. I’m in month 7. The “bloom” has been going one for about a month. Yeah it’s ugly but I don’t think it’s anything to stress about.
