Can anyone identify what is growing on these polyps?

Also, what are these polyps called??

Looks like colonial hydroids, I haven’t encountered that exact kind before. It would be best to remove them. You could google it and see if there is someone how has dealt with that type

Don't know about the random growth, but those look like clove polyps.

Hydroids - How do I eliminate- They have taken over my tank

So I have this stuff that has pretty much taken over my tank and I can't get rid of it. I'm looking for an ID and an eradication plan that is anything short of a total teardown.

Remove that plug and frag the polyps to a clean plug.

My self I would sacrifice the coral to make sure I did not introduce colonial Hydroids to my tank.

Just a quick update.

It's been a bit over a month and it seems to be cleared up.

I took the frag out and removed the hydroids with tweezers. Have not seen them since.
