Is it a good thing or bad ?

It’s seen to most people as a good macroalgae. I personally, among others, grow this algae on purpose to outcompete ‘bad’ types of algae that are harder to control and manage.

I don't know anyone who would consider this as bad algae, some people (including me) actually have dedicated sections of their sump called refugiums specifically made to grow this type of algae.
