Any way to get a more detailed bigger pic? Might be too small to really tell but a larger photo would definitely help.
 
I tried, its not that big of a coral and I don't have that great of a macro lens/camera.

I agree, I don't believe its a nana either though. I always thought it was an efflo until it started growing up like that, now Im not so sure.
 
Itis often difficult to ID a specific coral because they can look so different in various lighting conditions.
 
At this pont there is no way to tell. We know it's an Acropora, but until it grows a defined structure and gets uniformed branches and corllites we can make hundreds of guesses. So Purple tip Acropora is the best name IMO for now. Grow it out and bring back some pics. It's always interesting to see what becomes.

Flow, lighting, params, SG, everything can determine a corals growth pattern and color pigments. Take a purple rim green cap and put it under 20k radiums, then pc daylights, and then you'll really notice a difference lol.

I'm gonna say it looks like a simplex and a granulosa had a baby hehe.
