I bought this guy at a club in store event a few months ago. The last few weeks part of the flesh is just melting off. I have by far the greatest polyps extension from this guy that I have ever seen. It has fully encrusted onto the rock color is good. I just looked at it one day and noticed it about 2 weeks ago. If it's getting worse it's very slow but pretty sure it's a little worse than it was 2 weeks ago. Any thoughts on what it is and why.
Alk 8.3 mag 1380 calcium 420 nitrate 0 salinity 1.025.
I'm not even sure the name of the acro any help on that too it's one of my favorite

It was mentioned to me before that it looked old since it was green to just keep a eye on it but it almost looks like it's possibly still peeling

Can no one see it is that the issue. If you look at the base the flesh is melting off.

Yup the bright blue one next to the setosa. It's a hard pic since it's at the base. Maybe I'll try with the flash.

I was thinking it was the other acro (between the setosa and the acro directly across from it). Either way, I can't see what you're describing. It could be that the colony is getting big enough to where it's shading itself. That's just a guess, of course, without being able to see the damage.

I know it's hard to see. But look very closely at the base. The flesh is gone. It's not white like it's dead it's a green color. It's so hard to photograph since it's kind of a shaded spot. All that black looking spot at the base is what I'm talking about. If I use my flash it reflects off the glass of course
