My BTA split at least 3 weeks to a month ago and one half doesnt seem to have healed. The other half has been back to normal for a long time. The one in question has a big lump if what looks like foot material where I think the new mouth should have formed. It's also way smaller than the other one. I actually traded the normal one in at my LFS already so i dont have it to compare but I've had the original anemone for well over a year and it never looked like this.

You sure that's a bubble tip?? (sorry I know that's no help)

I'm sure your right, I'm no anemone expert. Mine just have always had tentacles all over, yours doesn't seem to have any in the center?

Mine typically have a space in the center with few or no tentacles. I’ve also had bubble tips that don’t bubble. They can be healthy either way. The real concern comes from the color (or lack there of) and the deflated limp look.

hopefully this guy will bounce back.

They have never been super colorful. They're not rainbows they're just greens that happen to have some purple on the tips. Here's one of the original anemone. That was taken with a filter so it looks much less purple but you get the idea

Yes, and to be clear, by color I meant more of the brown dark color as opposed to the pale white coloration.

This happens sometimes with BTAs and other anemones. They get stuck in what looks like a feeding response where the mouth is partially distended. It's usually temporary, but there have been times when it becomes permanent. As long as the BTA is able to eat, it should be fine. That said, they don't need to be fed if given enough light, so it may be a non-issue, though it does look a bit odd.
