What's up with the 10 gallon.

In the past week I have seen so many threads on people setting up 10 gallon tanks. Now this might not be that big of a deal for someone that has experience, but the majority of the ones I have seen are first tanks. Is petco doing a deal on 10 gallon tanks with current marine orbit lights or what?

I haven't heard of the gallon per dollar deal lately. The just had that sale not to long ago.
Also the current fixtures are in my opinion within the price range of new aquarists

For the same money or even less someone can pick up a t5 fixture.

very small tanks are the hardest to keep stable. I wonder how many of those tanks make it through one year.

I had a ten gallon with coral alittle over a year before I moved. Probably the best tank I've kept. Of course the only residents were a firefish, some hermits and snails.

My first tank was a 5.5g aqueon tank hob filter lit by a T8 desktop light fixture I got from good will that I threw corallife bulbs in. Never got to stock it very well, I lost it about 2 months in due to a 5 day power outage.

I believe they're always 14$ sale or not
