My anemone has been face down in a corner for a week.
Today I've decided to move him and his lips were swollen so he was really hungry and I fed him a lot
But now he's shrunk half his size
I don't know my alkalinity
Salinity is 1.025
Ph is 8.0
Nitrites were at 40 because of one of my fish died in the middle of the night due to a power outage
I also have a bacterial bloom I'm trying to rid of through water changes

I'd say you summed it up. They don't like nitrates. I'd watch it - if he goes it could really screw up your chemistry.

I don't think I would keep feeding it at least for now.and it got absolutely huge (this is in a 75 gallon - I had to trade him in). It could be that it is getting ready to expel some mucous.

Yea I'm planning on getting rid of him.
If he dies what should I do

If he's still alive, see if your local fish store will take him. I got a huge store credit for mine. I would take him sooner than later. Your store I'm sure has great water quality. May be able to nurse him back.

If he looks worse, get him out. You don't want that disintegrating in your tank.

But I would give him a little time. He really doesn't look that bad. See if his foot looks like it is trying to reattach to something. Mine would occasionally contract to the size of a golfball after expelling some mucoussy stuff and then reinflate.

I absolutely loved mine - sure they are kind of a pain when they go walkabout - but they are really cool.

He was super stressed and I didn't want him to die so I took him to my LFS to take better care of him. I'm gunna wait and hopefully il be better prepared for a nem

Sounds like a wise choice. Give your tank some time and try again! It may not even be your fault... You don't know if it was not completely well to start with...

Sometimes even though livestock looks good in a dealers tank, doesn't mean it's totally healthy. Dealers lose a lot of fish too even with all of their high end equipment.

???? Is my anemone this color????? He was red looking color about two and half month ago. He also has been eating a lot now, I have been feeding him chop up pcs of fish about 1/4" by 1/4", I gave him couple pcs every day. For some reason he has not change back to the color he was befor. This are the picture I took today. He look very healthy.
