Why does my bta look so deflated and open?? It's been like this for a few days now. Should I be worried?? I attached a photo of how it looked last week and how it looks now.

May I ask your parameters sir? I would test as much as I can, run some carbon but you won't know if it's either starving from lack of nutrients or getting too much unless you break the tests out. Anemone's require similar lighting to SPS but it looks like your light is good. My main concern would be water parameters. From accidental chlorine in the water to temperature, salinity, nitrates, phosphates, alkilinity.

All my water parameters should be fine. I haven't changed anything or done anything out of the ordinary. It was fine for the first month that I owned it and then it looked droopy. Is it a phase of some sort?? Or maybe I'm not feeding it enough?? I dose my tank with reef energy ab+ to feed it 2 times a week.

I agree with testing, have there been any recent changes to lighting or flow that could have bothered it?

What are you testing for and how stable is it? Some nems are a bit more finicky than others and require more stable environments

I test for nitrates, alk, phosphates, and salinity. Those are the only testers I have right now. Is there anything else I should be testing for??

You should be testing for magnesium too, calcium as well but I doubt calcium is the problem here

My parameters are always stable and consistent bc I don't change anything that I do unless I notice something go wrong like this

What do you keep your tank at numbers wise?

They do benefit from Anemone Pellets, I myself have a couple nems and try to occasionally drop a Vitalis Anemone Pellet or half of one targeted onto the nems or shrooms in my tank. Maybe once every week and a half if it was regimented but I mostly consider how long my last feedings would take to break down, absord, provide energy for sometime kinda deal. Depending on the size fo the nem would depend how much I crush the pellets.
I think if it's stable low params it's probably hungry.

What are the readings and what testers are you using? When something goes wrong the first thing many people do is test parameters.

Does the reef energy not work?? I also have reef chili that I put in there sometimes too

I would assume water quality is the issue here since it does look pretty rough, I don’t feed my nems much at all to be honest and it’s split 2 times already

Reef energy is for replenishing trace elements. Sure nems could benefit from them but in my experience acros benefit the most from trace element dosing

I'm using hana testers and my alk is at 9.5, salinity at .035, and my phosphates are pretty hight at 12ish but it's been like that since I setup everything and my tank has done fine for 6 months

Alright then I'll fee it some more reef chili instead. I'll see if that'll help at all

I’m not sure if it’s a type-o but salinity should be around .023 to .026 range . 1.035 is way too high and is likely the problem here

Yeah typo
