Hey just added this guy to my tank and pretty sure it's not doing well. Looks like RTN, but new to the hobby to know for sure. This guy's been in my tank for 24 hours and hasn't opened up yet, but the other one is looking ok, and slowly opening .... Any ideas and tips?

Should I tell my fish store I got it from?

Was it open in the shop before you bought it ? What are your tank parameters ?? No3 po4 , how old is your tank ?what kind of light are you running ?whatkund of flow have you got it in .. where is it positioned in the tanI ?

I bought it online from the fish store I go to. So I never say it open. My tank is about 7months old. My light is a PRIME HD, set to acclimation mode for them. Ammonia o nitrites 0 Nitrates 5. Ca is 420ppm. pH 8.2, PO 0. KH 179 ppm... And it's set in the top back of my tank so about medium flow and medium light.

With PO that low it may be a short of nutrients unless it came to you in that condition

You would want to keep it at.04ish maybe higher if you have no sps. If your water is too clean they wont do well. I had an issue with all my lps at one time where my phos was ok but my nitrate was way too low. Its best to try and balance them

Move to your sand bed to acclimate and medium flow. Allows for light and water acclimation and reduces stress.

Nitrates between 5-10 ppm and phosphate at trace. Always keep your nitrates above your phosphates.

They don't like direct light at first.
