for the last 2 months or so my interuptus has started to "struggle" to swim. It seems like he's always awimming in more of an upward direction and by wiggling his whole body. He eats fine or I'd be more concerned. I thought he would shake this away but seems like it's just how he is now. Feel bad. Probably 3 months ago I noticed a bloat in his stomach. I did the pea thing, didn't see him eat it but left it. It went away tho. About a month later tho I noticed this swimming behavior so not sure if it's related. Would love to get him to normal. I'd post a video but the site won't let me upload one

Bloating might be caused by internal parasite. You can try 10 days metro+kana in food by adding Focus to the mix to bind the medication.

I have had him like 5 months. Bloating hasn't happened in about 3 months. After this long could there still be a parasite? I put him through furan 2 and kana in the water column. Not food

+1

It sounds as though the bubble of gas in his swim bladder is no longer large enough to maintain neutral buoyancy. That's the opposite of what some folks experience, with the fish struggling to stay below the surface.

The question becomes _why_ the fish can no longer fill that bladder with gas - and to that question, I have no ready answer.
