20L sump, 3 chambers. 1st=overflow and skimmer. 2nd fuge area. 3rd return.

Light is a Utilitech Par30 15w 5k LED.
Added a Koralia Nano power head in fuge area.
1 1/2" SB, Chaeto 1 large piece of coral skeleton.

I've got cyano in fuge area
Chaeto dying

could be the skimmer is taking out nutrients that the algae would absorb? lighting could also be an issue.

This is the lamp I'm using.

I'm using identical light and methods, but getting different results.
I wonder if the tank being new has anything to do with it.

I use to get cyanobacteria ( red slime) in my refugiums when I didn't have a powerhead in it.

Maybe by removing some, it will allow the water to circulate around and through the chaeto better.
