Hello all thanks in advance for any Information on this.

My Kenya tree has been closed/shriveled up for the past few days, which catches my attention because its always open. I have also noticed my torch corals stem and tentacles seem to look alot skinner then normal. All my other corals look fine zoas, blastomussa, candy cane trumpet, GSP ect. The only thing I have done differently in my tank is add a media reactor with biopellets. Could my new reactor contribute to these current issues I'm seeing.?

Tested my parameters everything checked out.
Ammonia 0ppm
Nitrite 0ppm
Nitrate 0ppm
Salinity 1.024
Temp 78-79
PH 8.0 A little low but normal for my tank

Since you have no N03 there isn't any need for the bio pellets in the reactor. You need some N03 around 5-10 ppm and a trace of phosphate.

Your water is "too clean". Respectfully.

If you don't have a phosphate test kit, I would suggest getting one to see where it is.

It’s probably also worth checking the basic foundation element levels, calcium magnesium and especially alkalinity to see where they are and make sure there at the correct levels.

As already said you don’t want the water to be so clean/sterile as the corals need food.

This is an excellent guide on parameters
