Sorry I meant neonitro but yes your fuge may be using your nitrates along with your corals.

It has no light though? Also is it normal for coralline to grow in sump?

Yes it's photosynthetic process may be stalled presently so not sure if that stalls its nutrients intake also? I have seen coraline in sump previously if conditions are right.

I have 3 fish that eat heavily 3x per day. About 15 LPS and soft corals. I stay 5 to 8 on nitrates between weekly water changes would prefer closer to 10.

Each tank is different if yours is healthy don't change anything. I'm at 7 months and just starting to get some stability in place.
