two things- This fish is thin and not getting proper diet likely and seems to have a bacterial issue which will require treatment using either seachem neoplex or maracyn 2 in a quarantine setting with an air stone for added aeration. The redness may have stemmed from an injury from rocks or hiding area

Agreed - it is thin, and it has an external bacterial infection. We see that a lot on this species, not sure why.
